A native of San Antonio, Texas,

Amanda is primarily self-taught, earning a B.A. in Communication from Texas A&M University with minors in Japanese and New Media Art in 2016.
The Tejana painter launched her career in 2017 with a solo exhibition at the Brunswick Street Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, her work has reached collectors around the US, Australia, and in countries such as Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.
Using vivid hues and expressive glamour shot portraiture, she merges life's chaotic turbulence with the intimacy of identity and mental conditions through a futuristic, alter-dimension vision of self-representation.
As many aspects of identity such as gender and sexuality exist on a spectrum, her designs and pieces are regularly saturated with the intensity and distinct combinations of broad color that highlight individualism.
Regardless of the task, her style can best be described as contemporary Mexican-American expressionism fused with psychedelic surrealism.
She is currently working toward a certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from the New York Botanical Garden
I’m always aiming to visualize something new. Art should excite the mind and soul. And nothing is more exciting than capturuing the unordinary, the unseen.
